About Shunta

Shunta Antwi is a licensed psychotherapist committed to offering compassionate and confidential care. She specializes in working with adult females struggling with spiritual issues, anxiety, depression, significant life changes, unhealthy habits, women's issues, and family management/parenting. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and because each person comes in with their own unique life story, strengths, barriers, and goals, Shunta understands the importance of tailoring and individualizing treatment to address each individual's needs and goals. It is her role to create a nonjudgmental and safe environment to explore what will be helpful for each person. Her practice focuses on helping women develop a more mindful way of living and embracing all seasons of life.

Ms. Antwi therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The focus of CBT is more on the present and how the client’s thoughts effect their mood and behavior. Clients are helped to understand the connection between things that happen to them and how they choose to think about it. Clients are given tools to understand and manage their emotions by examining, challenging, and changing unwanted thoughts and replacing them with healthier ways of looking at events and situations.

Client Reviews

“I’ve worked with different therapists before, but Shunta stands out. She helped me identify patterns I didn’t see on my own and gave me tools that I still use today. I feel more confident and emotionally grounded because of our sessions.”

“I was honestly a little nervous starting therapy, but Shunta made it feel comfortable right away. She listens without judgment and somehow asks the right questions that make you think deeper. I’ve noticed a real difference in how I handle stress now.”
